It is hand-adorned with crystal embellishments, adding a refined brilliance that catches the light and honors the ceremonial spirit of the textile.

    From the word “lagtob”—meaning “one after the other”—the Lilagtob textile showcases the “inammata” or eye motif, traditionally used to ward off evil spirits. Worn during tribal festivities, Lilagtob carries deep cultural significance. It also serves as a “lilay”, a symbolic token of kinship gifted to the Binodngan (partner tribe) after a bodong or peace pact, representing unity, protection, and respect between communities.
